Do you love the game of baseball?

If, so then Syracuse MSBL may be the place for you:

Syracuse MSBL is mainly a 25 and older league and new in 2018 each team can have 2 players as young as 23! Here is the really exciting part, since Syracuse MSBL uses the end of the calendar year as the age cut-off, then players can actually be 24 years old as long as they turn 25 by the end of 2019, and 2 players can be 22 as long as they turn 23 by the end of 2019. However, the trade off for the 2 players who will 23, is that they will be restricted from pitching until the year/season in which they would turn 25.

We primarily play on 2 fields in the Syracuse area. Currently, we are using Bishop Ludden High School, and Bishop Grimes High School. On occasion we still use fields at Hopkins Road, Town of Camillus, Optimist Field, Seneca River North, and Central Square High School.

Most of our games are played on Sunday. We have 1 Saturday date, which is the Saturday of Mother’s Day Weekend, and 2 Wednesday evening games that start at 6:oopm. Sunday game times are 10:00 am and 1:30 pm.

Since Syracuse MSBL plays 9-inning games, each game takes approximately 3 hours to play. On the Wednesday evenings the game is a 7-inning game, and that takes about 2 hours to complete.

Syracuse MSBL is an all Wood Bat League!

Currently the league is 100% player funded. We don’t have any league sponsors, and we haven’t done any league fundraisers. With the cost of renting the fields, insurance, baseballs, umpires, other miscellaneous league fees, each team needs about $3,500.00 per season. With 13-15 players on each team, the league fee per player is about $250.00.

Our season will start typically the last weekend in April, and the finals are scheduled for the first weekend after Labor Day in September. All teams make the playoffs, which is single elimination in the preliminary rounds, with the finals being a best of 3 series.

Keeping families happy is important to us, so the league does not schedule games, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, or on Labor Day weekend. That way our players have the time to spend long weekends with their families.

We are always looking for new players and even new teams, so if you are interested, or know someone who may be interested then fill out our prospective player form, or use the contact page. That way we will be able to get you more information or help you find a team to play on!
